Today, we are thrilled to celebrate his next great milestone. Captain Gillespie has been signed by American Airlines for their advanced training program, a distinction that marks him as the first Jamaican pilot to accomplish this specific, prestigious feat.

The skies are calling. Captain Gillespie is slated to begin commercial operations between November 2025 and January 2026. Passengers on American Airlines will soon be in the exceptionally capable hands of a pilot trained to command the industry’s flagship wide-body aircraft:
